Yet another installment of Etisalat Beach Canteen is here and, like always, it is expected to be a scintillating showcase of family-friendly activities. Taking place until 11 December, the Jumeirah Beach (behind Sunset Mall) will be one of the most happening places in Dubai as Emiratis celebrate their Golden Jubilee. Organised by the Dubai Festivals & Retail Establishment (DFRE), Etisalat Beach Canteen 2021 is part of the UAE’s 50^th National Day (2 December, 2021) festivities.

The event boasts an interesting line-up of family fun activities including;

Gaming Heaven at Game Bustan: Making its debut at Etisalat Beach Canteen 2021, Game Bustan will bring beach-side carnival vibes to life. Brimming with excitement, it will feature various skill-based games likeBull Ride, Shooting Station, Wipe Out, Bungee Fun, and Zipline. Kids and parents alike can expect to have the time of their lives at this place.

Extreme Delight at Yalla Fun Zone: Bigger and better than ever before, the returning Yalla Fun Zone is set to be the ultimate all-day family hangout spot. Endless entertainment is on the cards for visitors of all ages with an Inflatable Park, Trampolines, Electric Bump Cars, Modesh Bouncy Castle, and a host of interesting activities at different workshops around the zone.

Following are the family-oriented events taking place at Etisalat Stage Majlis (one of the main zones) and other sections of the festival.

Modesh Meet & Greet: Residents and visitors from all over Dubai will have the opportunity to meet and interact with their favorite city mascot.

Jumanji Movie Night: Guests can enjoya delightful movie night under the stars from 9:30 PM onwards on 6 December. Eager families will have the chance to dig their toes in the sand while superstars Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Kevin Hart find their way through the jungle!

Musical Performances: Multiple captivating musical performances are sure to leave the audience thoroughly entertained. These include the following.

• African Drummers

This group of talented drummers from all over Africa will delight young and old Canteeners during multiple sessions throughout the event.

• Afro Melody

This popular soul, funk, and pop 4-piece band is bringing its unique and catchy tunes to Etisalat Beach Canteen 2021.

• Al-Harbia Band

Al Harbia or “Al-Razfa” is one of the authentic Emirati folk arts, which is still steadfast and performed on various national and social occasions. It has spread and expanded around the world through the participation of performers in forums and events like Etisalat Beach Canteen.

• AlAyyala Band

AlAyyala dance, generally known as “yowalah,” is a traditional UAE group dance. Accompanied by conventional music, separate groups of male and female performers take the stage in turns. Yowalah is distinctive in both its music and approach to dancing. Leather bagpipes, flute, and drums are played during a typical performance.

• As Per Casper

A brainchild of Dubai-based singer and songwriter Carla, As Per Casper is a band of artists who aim to bridge the traditional Western & Oriental into rich, full-bodied, and symphonic musical pieces. The audience at Beach Canteen 2021 will get to enjoy their biggest hits as well as exciting collaborations with other musicians.

• Caribbean Flow (Cuban Band)

This famous Cuban band has brought its tropical rhythms to Etisalat Beach Canteen for everyone to enjoy.

• Ibby VK

Dubai’s very own Ibby VK is set to make the crowd dance and sway to his enthralling pop, folk, RnB, and acoustic tunes.

• Maro Band

Dubai-based Moroccan singer and her Arabic fusion band MARO will rock the stage at Etisalat Stage Majlis.

• Melodica Musical Performances

Melodica’s displays will include eye-catching performances from both kids and adults that are not to be missed.

• Muhammad Samih& Band

Mohammed Samih and his very talented group of musicians will take to the stage and perform a mixture of modern and traditional Arabic songs ranging between Khaleeji, Moroccan, Egyptian, Kuwaiti, and Lebanese.

• Oud Performance

This performance will give young and old Canteeners the opportunity to enjoy the soothing sounds of the traditional oud.

• Sax & Trumpet by Carlos

Popular trumpet and saxophone player Carlos will demonstrate his prowess on both instruments with some scintillating jazzy tunes.

• Toi & Kristina Duo

This is a unique opportunity for Etisalat Beach Canteen visitors to groove with this singer-saxophonist duo on the beach!

SMCUU Henna Making Workshop: Visitors can learn the traditional Emirati way of preparing Henna and the significance behind it and also get their hands and arms painted.

SMCUU Traditional Arabic Cofffee Making and Etiquette: An educational workshop will showcase the traditional way coffee is made as well as the cultural etiquette behind it.

National Day Fireworks: A spectacular and breath-taking fireworks display is in the offing on 2 December at 9pm. The beach has never had a better feel.

The Great City Parade: Animated characters Modesh and Dana will be leading The Great City Parade during Etisalat Beach Canteen 2021 as part of their next big adventure.

Mindful Mom & Kids Yoga with Sandy Zanella by Crunchmoms: This stimulating session is the perfect way to start the day for mothers and their children before all the fun and enchantment of Etisalat Beach Canteen sets in.

Artistic Letters with FUN & ART: This beginner-friendly workshop would enable the enthusiastic participants to enjoy painting their chosen letters.

Body Art with J&L Art Studio: Be it conventional henna art or face painting for the little ones, Body Art with J&L Art Studio will offer lots of riveting designs to Beach Canteen visitors.

Catharsis by Art with Dana: Kids and their parents can get involved in somecollaborative group painting here. Participants will learn to paint verses of the national anthem and icons together. There will also be a masterclass on sketching the UAE skyline on a sunset!

Splash & Dash by Oola Lab: The Splash & Dash setup from Oola Lab will enable the guests to have their very own signature perfume to celebrate the Emirati tradition of scents for National Day!

Tie Dye Workshop by Meraki Studio: This is where visitors can learn different dyeing techniques to create fun patterns and interesting designs.
