Curated and produced by Ambika Hinduja Macker, artist, founder and creative director of Art and Design firm Impeccable Imagination, ‘The Sublime Nature of Being’ opens January, 23rd, 2022 in collaboration with ICD Brookfield Place, DIFC Dubai.

Guided by the philosophy of ‘Discovering beauty in simplicity’, Ambika, who was bestowed the AD100 2019 Excellence Award ‘House of the Year’, is renowned for curating ethereal environments and multi-sensory experiences that conjure the divine purity of the natural world in resonance with flora, fauna and the elements.

Inviting art enthusiasts on a unique journey with a contemplative dimension, “The Sublime Nature of Being” is a one-of-a-kind immersive experience that includes three-dimensional installations, sound and scent, a play on time and space, contrasts of light and shadow, elemental materials, and fluid forms.

“I am very excited to launch my first public exhibition in Dubai, the city I now call home. I look forward for the audience to step into the space and be transported into a utopian sanctuary of tranquility and beauty,” said Ambika Hinduja Macker. “ I am continuously inspired by the exquisite quality and inventiveness showcased in this dynamic city. It attracts such a diverse and cosmopolitan audience from all over the world, art collectors and art lovers in particular, hence it is an honor to create and curate in Dubai.” she added.

As part of her mission to promote excellence and mindfulness in Art and Design, Ambika represents esteemed conceptual and visual artists whose works have been shown in venerable institutions such as The Metropolitan Museum of Art,  Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), Victoria and Albert Museum, The British Museum and Centre Pompidou to name a few.

Specially commissioned by Ambika for ‘The Sublime Nature of Being’, a roster of regional and international artists will be showcasing their mixed media: Nadim Karam, Lebanese sculptor, painter and artist; Jacob Hashimoto, American contemporary artist; Fred Eerdekens, Belgian sculptor and contemporary artist; Mathieu Lehanneur, French designer and artist ; Hadieh Shafie, Iranian visual artist; Rowan Mersh, English multi-media sculptor; Xavier Lust, Belgian furniture designer and sculptor; Janaina Mello, Brazilian contemporary artist;  Michelle McKinney, English contemporary artist and Satya Hinduja, Indian composer, sound artist and producer.

Located in the Summer Garden, ICD Brookfield Place, Dubai International Financial Center, ‘The Sublime Nature of Being’  opens January 23rd to February 27th 2022.
