At the forefront of the Dubai food and beverage scene, Tom Arnel, along with the leadership of Bull&Roo, are proud to have recently created the social / industry initiative, EAT DXB. This new non-profit event series was built as a collaboration of like-minded individuals who are striving to make Dubai a better place through the growth of the local F&B industry. By working to recognize the efforts of the Dubai food community on a global scale, the group has a particular focus on locally developed restaurants, chefs, and other culinary professionals.

Launching this month, upcoming EAT DXB events will see a number of exciting activations that the community can get involved with, including professional industry dinners, EAT THE CITY, and EAT TALKS. Each of these events has something a bit different to offer in support of the overall goal to celebrate the talents and efforts of the local F&B community.

EAT DXB hosts regular social meet-ups between crucial industry stakeholders through dinners which will be social in nature, but purposeful in outcome.

The EAT THE CITY, pop – up dinner event is a unique collaboration between some of the city’s most successful and renowned chefs, in partnership with students from the International Centre for Culinary Arts (ICCA). The ticketed event will have a special set menu with each course explained by one of the guest chefs, imparting know-how, and sharing the experience of working together. Guests can feel confident in their participation, as all profit from the event goes to Dubai Cares. The dinner event is scheduled for June 16th at Tom&Serg in Al Quoz. Tickets can be purchased from Tom & Serg cafe
priced at AED 225.

EAT TALKS is a speaker-led event featuring key F&B change makers, chefs, and restauranteurs from Dubai and the broader region. Hosted by chef and owner of Bull&Roo cafes and restaurants, Tom Arnel is proud to kick off the first event, which will be held on June 17 at Tom&Serg in Al Quoz.

Championing homegrown and independent players through the launch of EAT DXB, Tom Arnel’s passion remains in the creation of homegrown specialty cafes and restaurants, where there has long been a gap in the GCC region. With the other partners of EAT DXB, Tom and his team at Bull&Roo hope to use their influence and approach to inspire a new generation of Middle Eastern restaurateurs.
