Join the celebrations of the Austrian National Day at The Pointe, Nakheel’s iconic waterfront destination on Palm Jumeirah, on Thursday, 21 and Saturday, 23 October and enjoy two musical evenings with the Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra and a dazzling show from The Palm Fountain.

The events take place on The Pointe’s Eastern promenade featuring Austria’s national colours of white and red from 8 to 8.30 pm and 9.30 to 10 pm on both nights.

The orchestra will perform original musical scores such as Vienna Stays Vienna, Gold and Silver Waltz and The Blue Danube Waltz, with a special rendition dedicated to the UAE on 23 October.

Omar Khoory, Chief Assets Officer, Nakheel, said: “We are honoured to add Austria’s National Day to The Pointe’s calendar of cultural celebrations, and look forward to this unique collaboration between The Palm Fountain and the Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra as they join forces to deliver a special and very memorable performance. The Pointe continues to differentiate itself as a destination that champions multi-culturalism and celebrates diversity. This show is testament to that, and we can’t wait to welcome residents and visitors in joining us for this first-of-its kind celebration at The Pointe.”

Robert Gröblacher, Director Middle East Austrian National Tourist Office said: “We are delighted to partner with Nakheel and The Pointe for this special occasion. Austria is a country with a rich cultural and musical heritage and with the special performance of the Schloss Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra and the spectacular fountain show by Nakheel we want to bring a special piece of Austria to the visitors of the Pointe.”

Helmut Döller, Director of the Austria pavilion at the Expo 2020, said: “Apart from its rich cultural history, Austria is also known as a country of innovation, economy and technology. And if you want to delve further into what Austria has to offer, we invite you to visit the Austrian pavilion located in the opportunity district of the Expo 2020.”

Make the most of the evenings by combining fountain shows and food by booking a restaurant along the East promenade.  Choose from a world of cuisines from dining favourites such as Chalet Berezka, Samakje, Chicago Meat Packers, Aiza, Qasab, Fnajeen and more.
