As it celebrates three exciting and enjoyable months at Expo 2020 Dubai, the Thailand Pavilion is honouring its over 700,000 visitor milestone and the fact that it has become one of the most popular country pavilions at the landmark global gathering.

Now welcoming over 8,000 visitors a day, the Thailand Pavilion is ranked one of the top country pavilion within the Mobility District and the fourth best country pavilion at the entire event. With 192 nations participating in the groundbreaking Expo 2020 Dubai, this achievement is testament to the Thailand Pavilion’s awe-inspiring displays, moving live performances, sumptuous food offerings, seasonal festivities and warm and friendly environment.

A recent survey carried out by the pavilion team also found that 98% of visitors either ‘really liked’ the Thailand Pavilion or ‘quite liked’ it, and that 83% enjoyed the Thailand Pavilion more than other pavilions. Being one of the few pavilions at Expo 2020 Dubai to host daily live performances, including Thai Fighting Spirit, Thai Rhythm, Thai Miracle, and Krathong Sai, 81% of guests found the colourful and beautiful space to be ‘very’ or ‘quite’ unique when compared to other representations. The top four nationalities visiting the Thailand Pavilion were also found to be Emirati, Indian, Filipino, Russian and Thai guests, while families and friends from countless different countries have also experienced all the tantalising and fascinating features that it has to offer.

In fact, since opening three months ago, the Thailand Pavilion has delighted thousands upon thousands with its programme of spectacular and engaging events. This includes an uplifting Thailand National Day performance and parade at Al Wasl Plaza, the Loy Krathong Festival, Thai Authentic Food & Health Week and several collaboration events with other nations such as the Australia and Belgium Pavilions. There are also many more thrilling activities still to come in the remaining three months of Expo 2020 Dubai. Visitors from the UAE and across the globe can look forward to immersing themselves in Thailand Digital and Innovation Festival, Energy and Environment Week, the Festival of Happiness and Thai Smile Week.

The aromatic and tasty dishes served at the Taste of Thai restaurant, operated by Dubai’s homegrown brand Little Bangkok, continue to attract crowds on a daily basis, while the adorable mascots, Rak and Mali, have quickly become two of the most much-loved and photographed mascots at the whole event.

Given the success of the Pavilion and the fact that the country is now open again for tourists, the pavilion team is hopeful that Expo 2020 Dubai will boost Thailand’s tourism industry, lead to more investment and help the economy bounce back after the pandemic.
