Visited Delhi after many years and was delighted to see the changes!! The city though very cultural is now very modern with sophisticated stores and restaurants ( many of international chains) sprouting up. The hotels are fabulous and boast only one word’ Luxury’. The city is quite populated and people quite friendly ‘n’ helpful though you got to be careful when shopping in certain areas where a lot of bargaining takes place.Summer is hot but winters can be really cold.Having spend some time in the capital we took excursions to Agra , Rajasthan and the mountains in the north – was a very delightful experience though tiring with a lot of traffic at times. The city is flooded with foreign tourists in winters and the the pubs, restaurants and bars quite busy. It is a complete transformation of India and it doesn’t feel like the third world at all now. Therefore, we are recommending our family and friends in the U.S. as well to visit beautiful India.
