Aya, meaning “beautiful” in Japanese showcases the very best of innovative dining in the UAE with its bold flavors and unexpected layered Asian cuisine.

Chef Izu – the eternally popular culinary master takes traditional Asian dishes and adds international twists to launch one of Dubai’s most creative menus. Signature dishes include a mezze of Kunafa wrapped prawns, yuzu kosho, sweet with sour tensuyu and Miso marinated Black Cod with grapefruit miso as well as brown butter ice cream with olive oil sponge and hazelnut crumble which is prepared à La Minute.

The menu has a delicate mix of whimsically elaborate rolls, buns and a Josperyaki with a life changing Wagu Katsu sando with Aya bbq sauce and Hokkaido Milk Bread straight from the streets of Tokyo. In true Izu style the quality and gastronomic technique is second to none, with help from a gregarious collective of experts lead by Head Chef Christopher Blake, formerly Chef at Zuma Dubai.

Chef Izu Ani, said “Dubai has been waiting for a fresh concept that layers traditions and flavors, creating beautifully delicate dishes that guests will not find anywhere else. We wanted to take Asian cuisine to a different level with the most important elements being imbedded deep in the tastes of the menu.” He commented “The passion we have behind the concept will present itself in the aromas, interior, staff, food, drinks and atmosphere Aya has to offer.”

The interiors will feature an inside and outside space with elements of a Japanese garden complete with a Cherry Blossom tree symbolizing the fragility and beauty of life, tying in with Aya’s namesake. AYA is set to open in City Walk, in October 2019.
