DSS Entertainment and Offers

Celebrating the universal love of toys, the 30-minute first-of-its-kind musical extravaganza is set to delight the whole family.

Scheduled to run from 28 June to 28 July, Toys: The Musical by West End producer Milton Morrissey tells the magical story of a young girl’s adventurous journey through a land of living toys, and is inspired by E Nesbit’s beloved children’s book The Magic City. The first full-fledged musical ever featured as part of DSS entertainment boasts an original score, breath-taking choreography, and stunning costumes and set designs.

With its stellar line-up of leading theatrical talent, including Phil Edwards, the globally acclaimed musical director behind international hit musicals Saturday Night Fever, Starlight Express and Miss Saigon, the bespoke production is set to impress art and music lovers visiting the destination.

Designed to ensure maximum audience comfort, the interactive stage and other activations will be located in a specially set-up enclosed air-conditioned area next to Saladicious Grillz on Al Mustaqbal Street in the heart of City Walk. The destination will host three shows every day except Tuesday. Visitors spending a minimum of AED150 at City Walk can present their receipts to watch the show.

The six-week retail extravaganza, will also host roaming entertainment, terrific deals and discounts. Dining outlets offering deals include Tartufi & Friends with Monday Ladies nights and truffle Tuesdays, while Burger Joint will offer combo meals at AED38 through the six-week fete.

Creating a fun-filled vibe, the entertainment offerings at City Walk during DSS will include balloon benders and contemporary nay (Middle Eastern flute) players.
