Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 14 February 2019: Bluewaters, Meraas’ unique island destination and home to Ain Dubai, has launched ‘a three-month-long activation, dedicated to music, art, and dance, with the Street Music Festival that takes place over three weekends until 2 March.

Live performances by popular local and international artists as well as established and emerging jazz, rock, urban, and retro local artists entertain visitors every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 5pm to 10pm.

The festival also hosts a series of workshops for music aficionados and open mic sessions for those who are keen to share their talent with the public. The interactive workshops range from guitar, djembe drum, and percussion sessions for people of all ages to enjoy. Little ones can also enjoy fun workshops for a chance to build their own instruments.

What’s more? On 15 and 16 February visitors, music enthusiasts can participate in the ‘Creating Hip Hop Beats’ workshop; a crash course on learning how to count beats, understanding theories on bassline and harmony, in addition to learning about the kinds of software and products required to record beats at home.

The three-month long activation celebrates art in all its forms, the music festival will be followed by a month of art and a month of dance.
