Sixteen students from GEMS Education high schools have enrolled for their degree programs at Canadian University Dubai (CUD), as part of the ongoing UniConnect program under which the University offer scholarships worth AED 10 million to GEMS Education graduates.

Sheldon D’Souza from GEMS Our Indian School – Al Quoz, who is studying Marketing, says he was very impressed with CUD and found the Orientation week very useful for acquainting him with University life.

Kyle De Souza from GEMS Our Own High School, also a student of Marketing, especially enjoyed the recreational events that were held during Orientation, including the talent show and the egg drop challenge. Kyle has already handed in his first assignment and is hoping for a good mark.

PR student Ardra Meletath, from GEMS Our Own English High School – Sharjah, was very impressed when she visited the campus for the Open House. She had the opportunity to meet with Faculty, and this was an important factor in convincing her to join CUD.

Interior Design student Sasha Ravendradas from GEMS Dubai American Academy says she was impressed by the help CUD offers to students who are facing challenges with their studies, or other aspects of university life. She hopes to spend two years at CUD and then transfer to either Ryerson or Vancouver University to complete her studies.

Mostafa Hassan from GEMS Westminster School who has enrolled or CUD’s new Mechatronics program says he is enjoying his new experience and is very impressed with the social life at CUD, where he hopes to complete his full degree.
