A quartet of sector-specific food and FMCG trade platforms at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) are witnessing a global coming-together of industry pioneers, innovators and disruptors, as tens of thousands of visitors converge for future-proofing conferences, next-gen technology demonstrations, new product launches and focused industry debates.

On day two of the three-day mega events, which runs until Thursday 31 October, the major stories stirring conversations across DWTC ranged from a 26-tonne manufacturing machine by Chinese firm Wellbing and Swiss flavour powerhouse Firmenich’s themed Mediterranean range, to Siemens’ German-built application suite for digitalising brownfield operations. Saudi packaging company NAPCO meanwhile, is driving the sustainable solutions debate, Swedish packaging behemoth TetraPak is exploring the rapid growth of private labelling and consumers’ selection habits in supermarkets, and the Russian Space Food Laboratory initiative by Astrofoods’ newest gravity-friendly confectioneries for astronauts also grabbed attention of visitors.

The global convergence of the world’s leading F&B brands and minds is taking place at four co-located trade shows at DWTC: Gulfood Manufacturing, the largest food and beverage processing and packaging event for the Middle East, Asia and Africa; the inaugural Private Label & Licensing Middle East, the MENA region’s only dedicated trade platform for the lucrative private label and licensing; and yummex Middle East and SEAFEX Middle East, a pair of food industry events homing in on confectioneries and seafood, respectively.

Held under the umbrella of the Gulfood power brand, which is preparing to celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2020, the four food trade platforms have attracted more than 2,800 collective exhibitors.

Gulfood Manufacturing, Private Label & Licensing Middle East, yummex Middle East and SEAFEX Middle East are open to trade professionals only. The events run until Thursday, 31 October. For more information, visit http://www.gulfoodmanufacturing.com
