DBWC’s ‘Women In Retail & Luxury Forum’ Offers Tangible Solutions To Challenges Facing Women In Retail Industry
Under the theme ‘Women in Retail & Luxury Forum’, the Dubai Business Women Council, DBWC, recently concluded its first virtual forum for 2020 amid remarkable participation of high-profile speakers representing the most eminent local and global companies of the retail industry.
Organized by the DBWC in partnership with A&E Magazine, the event touched on the current challenges that women are facing in the retail industry.
Hosted by Nadine Halabi, Business Development Manager, DBWC, and moderated by Lara Mansour Founder & Editor in chief of Adam & Eve Magazine, the forum witnessed the participation of Georges Kern, Breitling CEO, Sabina Belli, Pomellato Group CEO, Riccardo Sciutto, Sergio Rossi CEO, and IngieChalhoub, CEO and Managing Director of Etoile Group and Creative Director of INGIE Paris.
The speakers addressed some of the issues and challenges that women are facing in the retail and luxury sector, while affirming their confidence in women’s capabilities of handling and managing businesses in the respective industries.
When asked for her feedback, HE Dr. Raja Al Gurg, President of the Dubai Business Women Council said: “This virtual forum is one of the most prominent events of the Council this year, as it has managed to bring together local and international leaders of this vital industry to help women adopt best international practices in the retail and luxury sectors.”

The DBWC will be organizing and hosting three other online forums as part of DBWC Forums 2021. These platforms will discuss the challenges that women are facing in Healthcare, Tech, and Finance & Investment sectors while also shedding the light on the best practices that are in place to tackle these obstacles.
