In line with ‘Principles of the 50,’ and its keenness to emphasise the human element as the main engine for future growth, as well as based on its continuous efforts to enhance the high professional and administrative capabilities of its human cadres, Dubai Land Department (DLD) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Emirates Association for Management Consultants and Trainers (EMCT) to set the general framework for joint cooperation in the field of exchanging information, experiences and research relevant to the profession of management consultancy, administrative training, developing the skills of national cadres, including trainers and administrative consultants, qualifying them and raising their competitiveness inside and outside the country.

The MoU was signed by His Excellency Dr Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, Chairman of EMCT, and Mohamed Albidwawi, CEO of the Corporate Support Sector at DLD, based on the joint efforts to build effective knowledge partnership relationships through which the two parties work to activate the consultancy programme for employees to obtain advisory services from the members of the association on matters related to their personal and professional situations in a safe and confidential environment. This aims to reduce the consequences that may result from the exceptional circumstances the world is going through and the psychological and social pressures and challenges that may result from them towards creating a happy and positive work environment.

According to the agreement, the consultancy programme is based on several pillars, most notably: enhancing corporate awareness of the importance of occupational, moral and psychological health; creating a healthy environment for employees; enabling employees to achieve a balance between work and social life, with the need to provide the necessary moral and psychological care for all employees; and emphasising the values of harmony among corporate and functional goals and personal ambitions.

Albidwawi said: “At DLD, we are constantly keen to provide support in forming a capable and professional human cadre to provide services professionally as well as the permanent readiness to provide services with high professionalism in a distinguished work environment that is supportive and incubating at the same time. Hence, this MoU came to establish an effective partnership that would support our efforts in this regard by benefiting from EMCT’s long experience and expertise in regulating the method and ethics of practicing the profession of management consultancy and training as well as providing studies and research on the same. We look forward to a fruitful cooperation and partnership to achieve our common goals.”

According to the terms of the agreement, DLD and EMCT have agreed to cooperate in several fields, including accrediting management consultants by EMCT, who meet the conditions and requirements of accreditation in accordance with the system for accrediting trainers, to provide advisory services in the social and psychological, family, career development, self-development, economic and financial fields; exchanging data and information for trainers and consultants accredited by the association; developing scientific material and training packages for management consulting and training; developing researches and studies, and publish and document the best experiences, practices and services in areas of common interest; organising scientific conferences and forums by applying the latest international practices in the field of management consultancy, training, creativity and innovation, and other areas of common interest; and supporting lectures and workshops on management consulting and management training through the exchange of speakers and experts.
