Dubai Chamber Names Winner Of World Chambers Congress Competition
The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry has selected the winner of its raffle draw which was held on the sidelines of the World Chambers Congress 2017 in Sydney, Australia.
Maja Saveska, an advisor at the Macedonian Chamber of Commerce, was named as the winner of the competition which attracted 120 entries and required contestants to make their case for why Dubai should be selected as the host city for the World Chambers Congress 2021.
The prize includes a return flight to Dubai, a three-night stay at a five-star hotel and complimentary registration for the 12th World Chambers Congress in Dubai. The international event, coinciding with Expo 2020, will be co-organised by Dubai Chamber and attended by business and government leaders from around the world.
“I am delighted to receive the award and to be able to attend the World Chambers Congress 2021 in Dubai, expressing my highest esteem to the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry for creating this opportunity,” said Saveska following her win.
She stated that she expected the WCC 2021, with the support of Dubai Chamber, to be a success in creating new priorities for international economic development and best business policies, adding that the event will provide an excellent opportunity for sharing knowledge and best chamber practices which can improve services provided to business communities around the world.
Dubai recently won the bid to host WCC 2021 which was prepared and presented earlier this year by Dubai Chamber. The 12th WCC will be held in Dubai under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and co-organised by Dubai Chamber in cooperation with the ICC World Chambers Federation.
The World Chambers Congress, held every two years in a different region of the world, is the only international forum for chamber leaders and professionals to share best-practices, exchange insights, develop networks, address the latest business issues affecting their communities and learn about new areas of innovation from chambers around the world.
