The Dubai Club for People of Determination is all set to launch its eighth Summer Activities on Monday, under the slogan “To the Summits, People of Determination,” with the participation of 250 members (220 male and female volunteers, and 30 entities) in 60 events of specialised programmes and sports activities.

The eighth edition, which will continue until 2 August, will include 12 recreational trips, artistic and handicraft workshops, interactive training programs, and courses suitable for various disabilities in its four themes: the future, innovation, sustainability, and life skills.

Majid Al-Usaimi, Chairman of the Organising Committee for the Summer Activity, confirmed the completion of preparation for the launch of the eighth edition.

He expressed his pride in the sponsorship of several governmental and private institutions, enhancing joint work between them and the club, led by main sponsors – Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Union Cooperative, and Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.

“We seek to provide all means to enhance the capabilities and talents of the People of Determination in all fields for the summer activity to achieve all its desired goals. We hope the activities help the participants invest their times in a way that brings them mental and physical benefit, and introducing parents to the various activities and contribute to the community.”

The club has been offering various programmes and activities that provide the People of Determination with scientific, social, cultural and sports skills, he added.

“Summer Activity is an important platform for investing leisure time, and we are all striving for the eighth edition to achieve what we all aspire to – develop the participants’ skills and discover their spirit of creativity and learning,” added Al Usaimi.
