Golf Psychology at Dubai Creek Academies

Led by Head of Academies & Golf Instruction, Luke Tidmarsh, Dubai Creek Academies’ Sports Psychology Programme is designed to help athletes unlock their full potential through a tailored and personalised approach. With an MSc. in Sports and Exercise Psychology, Luke brings extensive expertise to the role, having crafted a multifaceted psychological programme rooted in proven theories such as the Theory of Challenge and Threat. His programme is client-centric and addresses challenges such as focus, confidence and performance anxiety. He encourages athletes to see these challenges as opportunities and equips them with tangible tools such as emotional control, goal setting and stress management, among others.

The programme, available as a monthly package, begins with a consultation and observed practice sessions to assess an athlete’s specific needs, which is followed by a personalised intervention plan. Athletes will also receive three in-person follow up sessions, virtual support and feedback throughout the month. Luke’s techniques and expertise are particularly beneficial for junior golfers, facilitating their pathway to college-level golf.

 

Capto Putting Programme

The Capto Putting Programme is designed to enhance golfers’ putting techniques using highly advanced Capto technology. This portable system provides real-time analysis on putting strokes, including in-depth data on stroke mechanics such as face angle, stroke path, speed and impact. It is ideal for golfers looking to fine-tune their putting skills with a data driven approach.
