Dubai Culture Is Organising A Virtual Awareness Workshop For Its Employees Titled ‘Yoga And Quality Of Life’
In recognition of World Health Day 2021, Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture)organized a virtual awareness workshop for its employees titled ‘Yoga and Quality of Life.’ This came in line with the Authority’s keenness to enhance awareness among its employees and educate them about the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle and keeping pace with the wise leadership’s interest in public health as well as with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai,to motivate members of the community to improve their quality of life by caring for their health and physical fitness.
This workshop also comes within the framework of Dubai Culture’s commitment to its employees and was in harmony with the happiness pillar within the institutional priorities of the Authority’s strategic roadmap 2020-2025 through which it sought to educate employees about the importance of yoga exercises in promoting physical and mental health. This workshop also coincides with the Authority’s efforts to support the pillars of Dubai Plan 2021 to make the city a home for healthy and educated people and Dubai to become a home of creative and empowered individuals full of pride and happiness.
The workshop will be presented on Microsoft Teams by internationally certifiedtrainerJamila Alansari. It will focus on several pillars, including an introduction to Hatha Yoga and the eight principles of yoga established by the philosopher Patanjali,the means to enhancing mental and physical health and strengthening immunity during COVID-19, the identification of the seven chakras, and a closer look at Asana yoga positions, in addition to a meditation session.
