Dubai Culture Launches ‘Summer Heroes’ Initiative To Honor Workers
Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) is preparing to launch ‘Summer Heroes,’ a humanitarian community initiative that aims to honour labourers who provide general services at Dubai Culture head office, its facilities, and Dubai Design District, such as cleaning, security, and others, in appreciation of their valuable efforts and active roles in serving the community in external environment during the summer, in line with the Year of Tolerance goals and the promotion of human communication and interaction.
Through this initiative, Dubai Culture strives to make its workers happier and start a positive dialogue between them and the community as an expression of appreciation for their services, in turn strengthening social cohesion. Dubai Culture also seeks to enhance the UAE’s position as a home where multitude nationalities and cultures coexist, by regarding workers as partners in the development process.
Dubai Culture will present summer heroes with personalised thank you messages written by Dubai Culture staff members, through which they expressed their gratitude for the great efforts committed by the heroes. This will help achieve Dubai Culture’s objectives in terms of its responsibility towards the community.
Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture, expressed her appreciation for the productive work these individuals are doing, praising the dedication in performing their duties and emphasising that the ‘Summer Heroes’ initiative aligns with the Year of Tolerance within a framework of Dubai Culture’s efforts in consolidating the values of tolerance, humanity, and communication, resulting in this initiative being a gesture of appreciation for the workers and an acknowledgement of their important role in society.
Badri said: “We are working tirelessly to support the UAE’s humanitarian efforts and relay our message to the community, helping present the Emirati tolerance model to the world. With this initiative, we celebrate the workers who strive to make life in UAE easier, better, and more beautiful.”
Badri also said that the initiative reflects the respect and gratitude that Dubai Culture employees have for workers, noting that the humanitarian gesture mainly reflects the positive contributions and quality of their work, demonstrating the appreciation that the UAE and its community has for them.
Dubai Culture aims to enhance Dubai’s cultural scene and draw attention to the UAE’s rich heritage. The Authority’s mandate is to build bridges of constructive dialogue between different civilisations and cultures to enhance Dubai’s position as a creative and sustainable global city for culture, heritage, arts, and literature, with the aim to empower these sectors by developing creative and innovative projects and initiatives locally, regionally, and globally.
