As part of its celebration of Zayed Humanitarian Day, the Dubai Government Workshop (DGW) joined in cooperation with Beit Al Khair Society the ‘Iftar Saem’ campaign, which was launched to promote social equality and humanitarian works during the holy month of Ramadan.

Exemplifying goodness, solidarity, and brotherhood, Zayed Humanitarian Day falls on the 19th of Ramadan ever year and is held to commemorate the country’s founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who served as a role model for philanthropists worldwide.

H.E. Fahad Ahmed Al Raeesi, Deputy Executive Director, DGW, said: “Participating in the ‘Iftar Saem’ campaign as part of our Zayed Humanitarian Day commemoration is also our way of remembering the achievements and contributions of our founding founder, who espoused the importance of helping people from all parts of the earth. The initiative also reflects our commitment to move forward in our efforts to adopt the approach of Zayed Al-Khair, who said, ‘We believe that the wealth that God has bestowed on us must be shared with our friends and brothers.’”

“We are pleased to cooperate with Beit Al Khair Society in our bid to fulfill our social and humanitarian responsibilities and emphasize the value of charitable works, which act as a key component of the UAE’s identity. Under the guidance of our wise leaders, the county has succeeded in its efforts to take a leading role in the global humanitarian activities. The campaign is especially important as it coincides with the holy month of Ramadan, which is a time to inspire us to embrace giving, social solidarity, and other cherished values. We will further strengthen our partnership with Beit Al Khair and other social and charitable institutions in support of social voluntary and humanitarian initiatives that serve the entire UAE community,” he concluded.
