Dubai International Content Market Successfully Concluded Last Week
The online edition of Dubai International Content Market- DICM, was successfully concluded last week. The two-day event was extended for a third day, upon attendees’ request. The virtual event witnessed great participation from content sellers, content buyers, producers, directors, and content distributors from around the world, including A+E Networks from the UK, Baby Clay from Bahrain, and Spacetoon from the UAE, as well as ZDF from Germany, Gaumont from France and Keshet from Israel to name a few.
In addition, DICM attracted many participants from the MENA region, such as Shahid from the UAE, IEN TV from Saudi Arabia, and WatchIt from Egypt, as well as SABC from South Africa, Aleef TV from Nigeria, TRT from Turkey, and Channel7 from Kazakhstan.
Furthermore, the virtual event witnessed the participation of over 130 companies from 32 countries, who took part in 327 meetings over the course of 3 days. In addition, attendees had the chance to screen over 95 of the latest international titles a month before the event, through the event’s “Content Business Hub”.

From his side, Mohammad Zaher Akbari, Programming Manager of Afghanistan Commercial Broadcaster, 1TVsaid: “This edition of DICM has allowed us to meet potential clients from all over the world, thanks to its virtual nature. During the event, we met with companies from Turkey and Spain, with whom we will hopefully have successful business relationships.”
Following the successful virtual event, DICM’s agenda for 2021 starts with the first edition of E-Ramadan Content Market, a specialized marketplace dedicated to Ramadan content, which will take place in January, followed by Dubai International Content Market- DICM on 24-25 November 2021 in Dubai.
