Dubai Retail Brings A Range Of Outdoor Markets To The Communities
To celebrate the cooler winter months, Dubai Retail, the retail management arm of Dubai Holding, is hosting a number of outdoor markets across its portfolio of communities, providing platforms for local farmers and carefully selected vendors to engage directly with consumers.
The Farmers Market, a community-led initiative by award-winning shop & restaurant Baker & Spice with full support from Dubai Retail, has returned for its 11th season. Taking place every Friday and Saturday from 8am-1pm until the end of April 2020 at Bay Avenue Park, it offers families a fun event and a range of local organic fruit and vegetables, baked goods, vegan and gluten-free treats and organic clothing.
IGR Farm, Rashed Organic Farm, Tickle Tickel and Ziba Nuts are just some of the 30 farmers and retailers with stalls at the event. Baker & Spice will sell a selection of pastries, breads, cakes and preserves while also serving a selection of breakfast treats.
Dubai Retail is also organizing a number of family-friendly outdoor marketplace events across select communities in partnership with community centre supermarkets, where residents can stock up on fresh goods, meet local retailers and catch up with friends and neighbours in the community.
On Friday November 22, Remraam Community Centre lawn will host an outdoor marketplace from 1pm-5pm with Geant, Domino’s Pizza, Little Neighborhood and Sands Pharmacy all taking part and a number of children’s activities scheduled to take place.
On Saturday November 23, Shorooq Community Centre is the place to be from 11am-3pm with tenants including Cultfit, the Loft and Project Kunafa taking part in the outdoor marketplace, which will also offer family-friendly entertainment and children’s activities. On the same day, from 11am-3pm, Mudon Community Centre will also host an outdoor marketplace featuring Geant, The Loft, Gelato Divino, Abajatour and QCA.
And on Friday November 29 from 1pm-5pm, the Al Khail Gate Community Centre outdoor marketplace will feature Blue Mart, Gelato Divino and more, with fun for all the family.
