Dubai Safari is all set to undergo an upgrade over the summer as it gears up to offer guests an enhanced experience. The park will close its doors on the 15 May and will welcome visitors again 1Octoberfollowing the completion of the embellishment programme scheduled to take place during summer months.

Anticipating an increasing demand for unique tourist offerings, Dubai Safari is redesigning the customer experience to remain in line with shifting trends in the market and to take advantage of emerging technologies. Additionally, once reopened, visitors can expect new engagement programmes and interactive experiences woven into the unique visitor journey. The destination will undergo enhancement works that include more climatized areas for animals.

The management at Dubai Safari said: “In line with our commitment to offering a superior customer experience, the upgrades seek to provide a better habitat for our animals and a more interactive and educational experience for our visitors. We are confident that our landmark destination will help attract even higher numbers of tourists to Dubai once it reopens after the summer.”

Spanning 12.8 million sq ft of immaculately landscaped land, Dubai Safari is home to more than 2,500 animals. The park is dedicated to ensuring the highest level of welfare for its animals whilst simultaneously working to conserve endangered species through knowledge exchange, awareness programmes, sustainability initiatives and research studies.

Earlier this year, Meraas signed an agreement with Dubai Municipality to manage Dubai Safari. The company appointed Parques Reunidos, a world-renowned operator of animal parks, to oversee the day-to-day running of the destination in line with international best practices while keeping customer journey and experience at heart.
