To mark the 61st National Day of Kuwait, which falls on 25 February, Dubai will be hosting diverse activations and activities in celebration of the occasion, reaffirming the deep and strong fraternal relations between the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait.

Dubai International Airport will welcome Kuwaiti visitors by offering Arabic sweets and coffee, reflecting their shared Arabian hospitality and culture, while Expo 2020 Dubai, the region’s first World Expo, designed to unite people and cultures from around the world, will also host festivities in celebration of Kuwait’s National Day. With Dubai continuing to regain its vibrancy, hotels, shopping malls, retail outlets and tourist attractions will mark the occasion with special offers and activities, alongside citywide events that are listed on Dubai Calendar.

On 25 February, BurjKhalifa will have a projection of the Kuwaiti flag while other global landmarks in Dubai including Burj Al Arab and Dubai Frame will be illuminated in the Kuwaiti flag colours of red, white, black and green.  New attraction, Ain Dubai will have special lighting on its wheel highlighting the Kuwait flag colours while the Palm Fountain located at popular destination, The Pointe on Palm Jumeirah will capture the essence of the occasion with a fountain show that will be performed in tandem with the Kuwaiti national anthem.

Dubai has also ramped up efforts to raise awareness of Kuwait National Day celebrations in the city through a dedicated campaign across digital and social media platforms featuring greetings and congratulatory messages on this joyous occasion.

Residents and visitors will be able to experience the diversity of Dubai’s unique offerings with the assurance that wide-ranging health and safety measures have been established at all visitor touchpoints.

The lineup of events and activities to celebrate National Day of Kuwait in Dubai:

 

GLOBAL LANDMARKS

Dubai’s global landmarks including BurjKhalifa, Burj Al Arab, Dubai Frame and new attraction, Ain Dubai will be sharing the joy of celebrating the 61st National Day through projections and illuminations of the Kuwaiti flag. Ain Dubai, will have special lighting on its wheel to mark the occasion.The illumination of Ain Dubai will start at 7:20pm on 25 February while all other global landmarks in Dubai will light up at 6pm on 25 February.

 

EXPO 2020 DUBAI

The region’s first World Expo will reverberate with the sounds of celebrations on Kuwait National Day with Kuwaiti culture being showcased, with performances featuring three folkloric bands – the Ben Hussain Band, The Red Palace and TV Band at the Dubai Millennium Amphitheater. On February 25, the bands will perform at 10pm and on 26 February at 11pm.

 

FIREWORKS HOSTED BY DUBAI FESTIVAL CITY MALL

Kuwait’s National Day celebrations hosted by Dubai Festival City Mall will feature a host of activities, including a spectacular fireworks display on 25 February at 8:30pm. As a part of the celebrations, visitors to Festival Bay at Dubai Festival City Mall will be able to watch a special edition of the award-winning and record-breaking “Imagine” show featuring dazzling laser displays and light effects. The show will culminate with a projection of the Kuwaiti flag.

 

PALM FOUNTAIN SHOW AT THE POINTE

Iconic waterfront destination, The Pointe at Palm Jumeirah will be celebrating Kuwait National Day on 25 February with the Palm Fountain, the world’s biggest of its kind, set to make a big splash by swaying to the tune of the Kuwait national anthem, starting at 9pm.

 

DUBAI ATTRACTIONS

Dubai Safari Park

Dubai Municipality is offering Kuwaiti nationals 50 percent off on the entrance fee to the famous eco-friendly Dubai Safari Park on 25 February.

 

Global Village

Global Village, one of the largest leisure, cultural and entertainment destinations, will celebrate Kuwait National Day with exciting activations and activities. The Kuwaiti flag will be displayed on the Festival Wheel which is located in Carnaval, the home of a variety of rides and games, which itself will be illuminated in the colours of the Kuwait flag. The lights of both gates (Gate of the World and the Cultural Gate) will also be illuminated in Kuwait flag colours. At 5pm on 25 February, a Dubai Police band will perform around Global Village.
