Dubai’s Aspiring Writers Graduate From Emirates Literature Foundation’s Creative Writing Course
A group of 15 aspiring local writers have today completed Emirates Literature Foundation’s first three-day intensive creative writing course delivered by award-winning author Lisa O’Donnell.
The course is delivered in association with Curtis Brown Creative, the creative writing school of major UK literary agency Curtis Brown. The sold-out course attracted emerging writers from Dubai’s multicultural community.
Lisa O’Donnell said: ““Creative writing is an important space. It opens the door to all kinds of voices telling all kinds of stories. It has been a joy to facilitate that space and I am so grateful to the Emirates Literature Foundation and Curtis Brown Creative for organising it.”
Afshan Aysha, course attendee, said: “It was an incredible three day experience packed with lots of writing experience. Lisa is a wonderful mentor who knows how to make you begin the journey of writing. The course gave me the opportunity to meet wonderful writers who inspired creativity. Thank you Lisa and Emirates Literature Foundation team for the wonderful experience.”
