Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) has debuted its Event Plus online platform, a digital asset that provides exhibitors and contractors with a seamless and transparent point of access to DWTC’s universe of products and services.

DWTC’s new digital asset is aligned with UAE Vision 2021 launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, with the aim to make the UAE among the best countries in the World. The vision is centred around six government priorities, which include transforming the UAE into a competitive knowledge economy. In line with the government’s vision, Event Plus has been developed with innovation at its core with the ambition of harnessing technology to deliver world-class smart services and infrastructure, while also guiding users throughout the process.

The online platform has been created with state-of-the-art technology to simplify the experience for event organisers, contractors and companies exhibiting at events held at DWTC. The Event Plus platform has been redesigned to offer an intuitive user experience, with easy registration, stand identification and a seamless cart function. A range of filters also make searching for products and services quick and easy for exhibitors and contractors alike. The platform also enables users to select catering options, providing descriptive images and ingredient lists to ensure greater experience for customers.

Repeat customers benefit from the convenience of previous order histories, submitted through Event Plus that help them re-order quickly, saving them time. It also enables advanced features such as the ability to store multiple carts for different stands, or when shopping for multiple events.

Services available through Event Plus include stand design, branding, signage, power, lights, digital walls, Wi-Fi and tech, and catering from the brand’s multi-cuisine kitchens.

Event Plus is available for all events hosted within DWTC, and also DWTC-hosted events in other venues across the United Arab Emirates. To further enhance the customer experience, a multi-channel contact centre offers 24/7 access to a dedicated and experienced customer care team.

The platform has been stringently benchmarked against global competitors, and comprehensively exceeds existing offerings in terms of capabilities, ease of use and intuitive interface. It takes design cues from contemporary e-commerce sites that audiences are familiar with, and also offers a mobile version for commerce on the go.
