This Emirati Women’s Day, the Emirates Group hosted a live forum to celebrate the contributions of talented Emirati Women both inside and outside of the organisation. The forum was held virtually and hosted a group of distinguished and well-recognized Emirati women in diverse roles and fields. The forum was moderated by Bakhita Al Muhairi, First Officer at Emirates who also talked about her experience as an Emirati female working in the aviation industry. The panel also included Reema Al Marzooqi, Vice President of Fraud Prevention, Investigations & Cybercrime at the Emirates Group.

The forum also included special guest Major Roudha Al Shamsi, Head of the General Department of Forensic Science and Criminology at Dubai Police. Discussions during the forum highlighted the contributions of Emirati women across all fields, and the value they bring to the UAE’s growing talent pool, as well as how they support the UAE’s growth and helping to achieve its leadership’s vision. The forum was well attended, and received a positive response from the audience. Speakers shared their success stories, their challenges, how they find purpose to continue their mission, amongst other topics, and they also answered questions asked by the attendees.

Earlier in the morning, Emirati female colleagues from across the Emirates Group came together for a ceremonial cake cutting and group photo.

The UAE’s aviation industry benefits from the ongoing leadership and contributions of Emirati women. The Emirates Group is committed to identifying and nurturing that talent to ensure their advancement as they support the wider UAE aviation and business community. The group currently employees more than 1,100 Emirati women across diverse functions. They fill a wide range of professions, from leadership roles, to frontline responsibilities to corporate functions, and flight operations, among others.
