Fresh from recording another series of the hugely popular TV show ‘The Voice Kids’, Filipino music icon Bamboo will return to the Dubai World Trade Centre on October 27 as part of a series of live shows at several iconic international concert venues.

Bamboo’s Dubai show will be welcomed by the thousands of Filipinos who have grown up with the man and his music and who now live and work in and around the UAE.

“It’s always a great pleasure to return to the UAE as the fans there never fail to give me a warm welcome,” said the 38-year-old star. “By the time we reach Dubai, we will already have played live shows in Canada, Scotland, England and Ireland as part of the 2016 World Tour so I hope to see a lot of my Dubai friends when we get to the UAE.”

Having the opportunity to provide an authentic link to their homeland in the Philippines is a fact not lost on a singer who has reached a massive global TV audience thanks to his role as coach and mentor on both ‘The Voice of the Philippines’ and ‘The Voice Kids’.

“The support I get when I play abroad is something else so for one night, I’m going to bring those guys back home – that’s a promise,” said arguably the biggest rock star in the Philippines as he continues the promotion of his second solo album ‘Bless This Mess’.

“It’s going to be fun and it’s going to be loud. I’m expecting a lot of energy from the crowd, as well as myself and the band.

“I also want all of fans to be able to relate to it as my audience covers everyone from the older generation to the young kids who come up and ask for photos or talk to me because of “The Voice Kids”. I want it to be a family affair and would love to see the audience come to the shows with their kids.

“We’ll feature a lot of my new solo songs as well as many of the classics that prove popular every time we go on an international tour.”

A music icon in his homeland for more than 20 years, the singer – who first found fame in the mid-1990s as lead singer of ‘Rivermaya’ before going on to front his own eponymous band ‘Bamboo’ – will also play Edinburgh, Manchester, London, Dublin and Doha.

Bamboo’s UK, Ireland and Middle East Tour is produced and promoted by the Dubai-based Spicy Lemon with full venue details and ticket information available from www.spicylemon.rocks and from Platinumlist Dubai outlets and online (https://dubai.platinumlist.net/).
