Dubai–UAE: Fitness First, the world’s number one health and fitness club chain and a member of Landmark Group, has announced the name of the lucky winner of its region-wide ‘New Year, New You, New York!’ promotion that ran from 10 January – 28 February.

Iman Abed, a new member who joined Fitness First on 25 February, won the holiday for two to New York in the grand raffle draw. She enrolled for membership to the Fitness First Club at the Uptown Mirdif Club during the ‘New Year, New You, New York!’ promotion, which entitled her to participate in the competition.

The winner received the award during the first anniversary carnival party at Uptown Mirdif Ladies Fitness First Club. The three-day calendar of activities included special Latina classes, a nutrition seminar, belly dancing sessions, flamenco show as well as a training schedule, Latin flavours show, capoeira class, and a range of other activities highlighting the offerings of the impressive ladies-only facility that specializes in women’s health and caters to all levels of fitness.

New and existing members won a total of AED100,000 in prize vouchers redeemable at any one of the 900-plus outlets of the Landmark Group including Beauty Bay, New Look, Koton, Spaces, Iconic, Emax, Live’ly, Carluccios, Bistro, Chi’Zenz, Ushna, Zaffran and Shoe Mart.

The ‘New Year, New You, New York!’ promotion by Fitness First aimed to encourage people to join as new members and motivate existing members to opt for personal training sessions and get fit. During the promotion, nearly 4,500 new members signed up for membership to the Fitness First Club that already boasts over 45,000 existing patrons. The ‘New Year, New You, New York!’ initiative also saw members availing close to 28,000 personal training sessions at various Fitness First outlets across the UAE.

With more than 18 clubs across the Middle East offering state-of-the-art equipment, fully qualified personal trainers and latest group exercise classes, Fitness First is dedicated to ‘making the world a fitter place’.
