Football Fans In Dubai Get Ready To Take On The Barasti Blastometer And The Title Of The City’s Loudest Supporters
The famous Barasti Beach Stadium in Dubai will be the setting of a competition to find out who are the loudest football fans this summer.
Each night during the biggest football competition of 2016, hundreds of fans will head to Barasti to watch all the action in the best air-conditioned venue in the city.
And as the goals go in, a state-of-the art decibel meter fitted inside Barasti Beach Stadium and called “The Barasti Blastometer” will measure how loud fans are, with the results being announced the next day.
With expats from all 2016 nations already living in the city, plus tourists and others who support teams such as Spain, Germany and England, the noise levels are set to be off the charts until the final on July 10.
Barasti Operations Manager, Phil Hardie said: “Barasti is always the place to be when it comes to live sport and we are set for a massive summer with the 2016 football taking place.
“The match timings are perfect with hundreds of fans heading to the Barasti Beach Stadium every night and it is going to be a brilliant atmosphere.
“We will have fans in from all the countries taking part and as always those from Germany and England will be very loud. But teams like France and Spain have a lot of support locally so it is going to be fascinating to see who is loudest.”
The Barasti Beach Stadium opens on Friday 10thJune. Measuring 30m x 40m x 8m and chilled to a pleasant 22 degrees, the glass structure will be bringing much needed relief for Barasti’s regulars who’ll be able to continue enjoying their favourite beach-side venue throughout the sweltering summer months.
