From The Kings Of Roses: The Luxembourg Pavilion At Expo 2020 Dubai Unveils A Delicious Romantic Set Menu Created By Michelin-Starred Chef Kim Kevin De Dood, Available Exclusively On February 13 And 14
In honour of Valentine’s Day and the most passionate time of the year, Luxembourg Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai is hosting a once-in-a-lifetime romantic experience that loved ones will remember and treasure forever.
During 1900, the roses grown on the fields of the City of Luxembourg and its surroundings were exported all over the world. As the purveyor of the romantic flower, the Luxembourg Pavilion will be offering a rose-themed set menu.
Elegant, sophisticated and offering unique, imaginative dishes unlike anything else found across the UAE, the pavilion’s fine dining restaurant The Schengen Lounge has already gathered a legion of international fans.
For Valentine’s Day, the distinguished restaurant’s Michelin-starred Head Chef Kim Kevin de Dood has crafted a showstopping, romantic set menu as a tribute to the country’s history of exporting the flower. The incredible three-course culinary journey is designed to shine a light on the most amazing flavours and textures of contemporary Luxembourgish cuisine, and the distinctive and aromatic notes of fresh rose.
The relaxed and sumptuous Les Roses du Luxembourg event begins with a refreshing welcome drink, providing guests with an opportunity to absorb the beautiful and artistic surroundings of the stunning multi-sensory pavilion before tucking into the first exceptional plate.
Themed around the iconic romantic flower, couples are invited to begin their special feast with a delicate serving of traditional foie gras served with black truffle and a perfect drizzle of fig and rose gel, followed by a beautifully presented starter of smoked salmon with a hand carved radish “rose” and horseradish cream.
Meanwhile, the traditional main course of roasted duck breast with ras el hanout spices, potato and apple has been infused with real rose petals, while the charming evening is concluded with a stunning sweet rose and raspberry meringue accompanied by rose ice cream, lychee and yoghurt mousse.
In addition to the tantalising dishes, couples will be able to further accentuate their enchanting experience with a choice of fine grapes and beverages from across the world. The rose-inspired Valentine’s Day menu at the Schengen Lounge is available to book now for dinner on February 13 and 14, priced at AED 180 including food and one welcome drink.
