The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ajman Tourism Development Department to enhance cooperation in institutional support and human resources.

The agreement was formalised in the presence of HE Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA, and HE Mahmoud Khalil Al Hashmi, Director-General of the Ajman Tourism Development Department.

Under the MoU, the two entities will work together to implement best practices and conduct awareness and education programmes in specialised areas such as future readiness, innovation, and knowledge management.

The collaboration seeks to develop human resources’ skills and expertise, explore and apply best practices, and introduce innovative global practices. The MoU also focuses on enhancing organisational support and human resource sectors.

Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri stressed that GDRFA Dubai is committed to expanding its strategic partnerships with its partners to fuel the country’s development journey. He noted that such partnerships play a vital role in consolidating complementarity between government entities, boosting Dubai’s competitiveness, and reinforcing its position as a global hub for innovation and sustainability.

For his part, HE Mahmoud Khalil Al Hashmi emphasised the importance of establishing effective partnerships that foster innovation and knowledge management. He highlighted that such collaborations should not only promote innovation and knowledge management but also adhere to precise standards and programmes to fulfil shared objectives. He further noted the value of these partnerships in enhancing synergy between government entities and the private sector, crucial for driving competitiveness and ensuring sustainable development across various sectors.
