Global Village, the region’s leading multicultural family destination for culture, shopping, and entertainment, hosted its “Annual Achievement Awards’ ceremony yesterday evening, to honour its strategic business partners, including key government authorities, SMEs, entrepreneurs and business owners, for their integral contribution to the success of Global Village’s Season 29.

Highlighting exceptional achievements across various categories, the Global Village Achievement Awards pay tribute to the enduring value that partners bring to Global Village, recognising their vital role in reinforcing the destination’s ongoing commitment to delivering the finest guest experiences, season after season.

The ceremony commenced with honouring the Government authorities in recognition of their unwavering support, which continues to play a pivotal role in maintaining security, safety, accessibility, health, discipline and HSE standards on site, as well as reinforcing the Emirati heritage through a number of initiatives.

Recognition was shared with Dubai Police, General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, Dubai Civil Defense, Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Municipality, Department of Economy and Tourism, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Security Industry Regulatory Agency, Events Security Committee, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Government of Dubai Media Office, Dubai Development Authority, Dubai Customs, Tadaawi Healthcare and Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center alongside radio partner Arabian Radio Network.

Following these recognitions, an Appreciation Trophy was presented to Dubai Refreshment, the exclusive water and soft drinks partner of Global Village.

The Korea Pavilion was awarded the First Place and Gold Trophy for the ‘Best Pavilion Award’ in recognition of its authentic portrayal of the Korean vibrant cultures. The Second Place and Silver Trophy went to the Palestine Pavilion, while the Afghanistan Pavilion was awarded Third place with the Bronze Trophy.
The Palestine Pavilion also secured the First Place and Gold Trophy for the newly introduced ‘On-Time Excellence Award’.

For the ‘Best Façade Award’, Iraq Pavilion earned First Place and Gold Trophy due to its impressive architectural design, followed by China Pavilion in Second Place and Silver Trophy, while India Pavilion was granted the Third Place and Bronze Trophy.

The Palestine Pavilion, which mesmerised audiences with its captivating cultural performances, won the First Place and the Gold Trophy for the ‘Best Cultural Show Award’, followed by Thailand Pavilion in Second Place and Silver Trophy, as well as Morocco Pavilion in Third Place and Bronze Trophy.

Additionally, the Egypt Pavilion won First Place and Gold Trophy for the ‘Best Craftsmanship Award’, honouring the exceptional talent and dedication of its artisans. Following closely, the Iraq Pavilion won the Second Place and Silver Trophy, while Morocco Pavilion secured the Third Place and Bronze Trophy.

Al-Haaj Bundoo Khan were triumphed the First Place and Gold Trophy for the ‘Best Restaurant Award’ this season, while Tahounat Beirut won the Second Place and Silver Trophy, as well as the Bosnian House in Third Place, claiming the Bronze Trophy.

Saganaki kiosk won the First place and Gold Trophy of the ‘Best Global Village Kiosk Award’, while Dip it alongside Croffee came in second with Silver Trophy jointly, and Platano in Third Place and Bronze Trophy.
Café Turquoise won First Place and Gold Trophy of the ‘Best Coffee Shop Award’, while Cafe Anatolia won Second Place and Sivler Trophy, while Coterra Coffee earned Third Place and Bronze Trophy.

Tokyo-Yaki was honoured with the First Place and Gold Trophy for the ‘Best SME Kiosk Award’, while Mini secured the Second Place and Silver Trophy, and Dostan Kabab in Third Place and Bronze Trophy.

Global Village Achievement Awards also included House of Fear, which won first Place and Gold Trophy for the ‘Best Walk-In Attraction Award’, followed by a tie between Secrets of the Lost City and EXO Planet City in Second Place and Gold Trophy, as well as Sharp Shooter in Third Place and Bronze Trophy.

For ‘Best Retail Shop Award’, Mumuso claimed the First Place receiving the Gold Trophy, while AlAnsari Exchange followed closely, securing the Second Place with a Silver Trophy, and AlNahdi Pharmacy came in the Third Place, earning the Bronze Trophy.

Mahashy Aghaty Kiosk claimed the First Place’s Gold Trophy for this season’s ‘Guests’ Choice Kiosk Award’, while Milky Ice was named the Second-Place winner with a Silver Trophy, and Chickenz secured the Third Place with a Bronze Trophy. For the ‘Most Viral Kiosk Award’, Saganaki earned the First Place’s Gold Trophy, followed by Dip It who was named Second-Place winner earning a Silver Trophy, and Croffee winning a Third Place and a Bronze Trophy.

Global Village also acknowledged the efforts and accomplishments of women-entrepreneurs. Suzan Balwan for Indoyo Kiosk secured the First Place’s Gold Trophy for the “Woman Entrepreneurship Award,’ while Sara Ahli was named second-Place Winner for Japanese Talk Kiosk and earned a Silver RTrophy. Mariam Alebri was a Third-Place winner for her Zanzibar Grills Kiosk.
