The Golden Mile Galleria, one of Nakheel Malls’ retail, entertainment and shopping destinations is hosting a walk to raise awareness about epilepsy in the UAE on 17 November at 10am.

To raise awareness about epilepsy and encourage society to be more accepting of epileptics, Her Highness Sheikha Hind Al-Qassimi will lead the walk in support of Wafa Al Shamsi, a local Emirati hero, who has been fighting epilepsy for the past seven years.

Al Shamsi completes six months of being seizure-free and is treating herself to a new life of freedom with a 6km walk around Palm Jumeirah’s Al Ittihad Park, located next to Golden Mile Galleria, where she will share her experiences of living with the condition.
