Hala Badri Tours Works Of Future Innovators And Designers At DIDI Graduate Exhibition
As part of her keenness to support talents, whether citizens or residents, and enable participation in Dubai’s cultural and creative sector, Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), toured the works of creative talents participating in the Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation (DIDI) Graduate Exhibition held in Dubai Design District (d3) from 25 May – 5 June 2022 to celebrate the graduating class of 2022.
During her visit, she was briefed on the exhibition’s innovative projects that were created and implemented by DIDI’s students, most notably an NFT digital art collection, a phygital companion that assists children in developing emotional regulation skills, and an app aimed at supporting dementia patients in the early to intermediate stages using artificial intelligence and augmented reality.
Badri also viewed the meditative system that works as an interactive physical therapy for children as well as projects about human and plant societies on Mars and others that reflect the graduates’ depth of knowledge and qualitative skills.
Badri praised the students’ innovations, which she described as reflective of Dubai’s spirit, acity that has become a futuristic hub for creativity and innovation. She stressed her pride in the achievements of these students, who will receive the first multidisciplinary bachelor of design in the region, expressing her confidence that they will be active contributors to building the bright future of Dubai and the UAE.
