“Happiness In Watercolor” A Huge Success In The UAE
(IWS) International Watercolor Society in collaboration with the Cartoon Art Gallery will be hosted a 4-day Watercolor Festival in UAE under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Faisal Al Qassemi. The Festival was inaugurated on the 22nd of February at Al Zahra Hospital and was attended by the Ambassador of Turkey, Turkish Consulate General, Chancery Counsel of Indian Consulate, IWS Founder & President Mr. Atanur Dogan, VP Amit Kapoor, Alvaro Castagnet and almost 50 International Watercolor masters & artists were also present at the prestigious event.
Mrinmay Sebastian – Cartoon Art Gallery Manager & IWS UAE Country head says, “It was truly an incredible festival of watercolors and I was honored to have my painting sold at the festival, the sale was done by none other than the patron of Arts, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Faisal Al Qassemi himself.”
This was the region’s largest Art Festival dedicated to Water Colors. Throughout the festival, there were live demonstrations by International Masters; there was also a painting & cultural tour of cities in the UAE, artists enjoyed the sites and scenes from Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. Artists were invited to join plein Air at Al Fahidi Historic District, Diera Spice Market & Dubai Marina. During the festival, the longest watercolor painting of UAE was also created, measuring 60 meters by 60 artists in a span of 3 hours was created on 24th of February at Al Zahra Hospital.
