The International Humanitarian City (IHC) and its valuable members from United Nation agencies and international nonprofit organizations joined the Downtown Dubai Parade with hundreds of Emiratis and expatriates thronging the Emaar Boulevard, celebrating the UAE 41st National Day.
In a wonderful weather, many of the local and international schools, government entities, international brands, cultural groups, camels, horses, bikers and sports clubs and children mascots joined the parade, lending it extra color and spectacle. More than 200 nationalities, from many different backgrounds showed up in full force, as many of the participants walked the floats, while audience watched from the sidelines, seated in cafes along the colorful 2-kilometre route. UAE’s colors were all over the place and all enthusiastically waved flags and cheered.
HE Shaima Al Zarooni, CEO of IHC joined the IHC team in its walk waving the UAE flag and cheering proudly. “With great passion and genuine love to the United Arab Emirates’ leaders and people, we are here today celebrating the UAE sterling achievements reaching the frontiers with excellence.”
AL Zarooni added: “I would like to extend our appreciation to Emaar Properties and Dubai Events & Promotions Establishment (DEPE) for organizing such an amazing parade, also I would like to extend my gratitude to IHC members who didn’t save an effort to be with us today, especially the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), The International Association of Human Values (IAHV), and Humanity First.
IHC is one of the exceptional initiatives that reflect the UAE and Dubai leaders’ vision. It was established in 2007 to enhance the humanitarian work, and became the biggest humanitarian hub that facilitates global aid and development by providing humanitarian actors with facilities, logistics, and services specifically designed to meet the need of more than 50 members from United Nations agencies, international humanitarian nonprofit organizations and commercial entities
