Inspiring And Connecting Dubai’s Next Generation Of Multimedia Creatives
After fifteen years of conceptualising and creating incredible multi-sensory experiences across the United Arab Emirates, JBM Studio has launched a brand-new studio space in Dubai’s Al Quoz to inspire, support and connect existing and emerging multimedia talent with an unmatched offering in digital and creative production.
A unique hub of inspiration and opportunity, JBM Studio supports the Dubai Government’s vision for the Al Quoz creative zone project and its mission to inspire the next generation of creative talent, as well as being the answer to Dubai’s need for a higher level of creative production to nurture homegrown talent. The new studio space will be a common place for the music, technology and visual arts community to connect with like-minded individuals who are exploring storytelling in the digital age and who are looking to produce the highest-level creative and technical content.
Her Excellency Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), attended the launch of the new studio and praised JBM Studio’s efforts to support the performing and visual arts in the Emirate and contribute to its flourishing cultural and creative movement, saying: “At Dubai Culture, we support ambitious projects that keep pace with our aspirations and goals to cement Dubai’s position as a global centre for culture, an incubator for creativity and a thriving hub for talent as well as the global capital of the creative economy. We are confident that the studio will attract future-oriented talents and play a role in enriching multimedia content and advancing the industry.”
Badri affirmed that the opening of the studio in Al Quoz reflects the region’s success in attracting pioneering creative projects, as it constitutes to be a vital hub for inspiring talents from all over the world to invest in themselves, and excel in the fields of the creative economy.

The 5,651 sqft studio spans over two floors and is fully equipped with easy to use equipment so creatives can present their ideas in a fresh new and artful way, whether that be through an event, film, tv, music, comedy or product development.JBM Studio features state-of-the-art, virtual and hybrid technology and is home to experts and specialists who are on hand to guide creatives through entire projects from ideation, through to production and launch. The studio also seamlessly combines the digital and physical world to give artists and producers in Dubai and around the world the opportunity to virtually connect and remotely work on events and projects.

JBM studio houses an array of world-class facilities that include a black box set-up with cameras, lights and sound systems which are ideal for talk shows, live streams and DJ and music sets, as well as an event space, office space and a collaborative workspace which will give Dubai’s talent in music, film and art a place to connect and be inspired by likeminded individuals. Every aspect of the studio has been designed with flexibility and fluidity in mind and can be used in person or remotely. The studio’s cameras, lights and sound are connected through a virtual studio which allows film, lighting and sound directors to control remotely, opening up a world of opportunity for producers near and afar. The studio’s first-floor houses everything artists need for sound and includes a Dolby sound picture studio, a podcast and vidcast suite and a music recording and producing suite. The studio’s specific recording and surround systems include a Dolby Atmos suite, the first one to open in the UAE.
As part of its launch season, JBM Studio partnered with Sole, the leading voice for youth and contemporary culture in the Middle East, and collaborated with the global sports company, PUMA, on an Artist in Residence series to support emerging talent. The series kicked off at the studio with an intimate event and exclusive performance with London based Somali artist, FACESOUL.
