International Classic Car Show UAE Concours d’Elegance To Showcase Unique Vintage And Modern Supercars From December 12 To 14
The UAE Concours d’Elegance, the prestigious international event showcasing some of the world’s rarest classic, vintage and modern supercars, has won recognition from FIVA (Federation Internationale Vehicules Anciens), the organisation that has been supervising the promotion of classic cars for over 50 years globally.
The 2019 edition of the UAE Concours d’Elegance is set to take place in the marina area of the magnificent Bulgari Hotel and Resort, Jumeirah Bay, Dubai, from December 12 to 14, under the umbrella of FIVA.
FIVA was founded in 1966 in association with classic car associations and clubs from different countries to promote and direct the interests of owners of classic cars. The FIVA member clubs represent more than 1.5 million enthusiasts in 64 countries through over 85 member organizations, including the Emirates Motor Sports Organisation, formerly known as the Automobile and Touring Club of the UAE.
FIVA’s primary objective is to encourage safe use of self-propelled, mechanical vehicles, over 30 years old still on the roads for the benefit of their owners, dedicated enthusiasts and the general public.
Mana Al Suwaidi, Chairman of UAE Concours d’Elegance, said: “It is a great honour for the UAE Concours d’Elegance to be included in the annual FIVA calendar. It also means that the Arab region’s collectors of classic cars – and there are several of them owning some very rare vintage cars – will come under global spotlight as passionate car enthusiasts gather at one venue to celebrate the magnificence of cars belonging to a bygone era. We are proud to say that with FIVA recognition, the prestige of the UAE Concours d’Elegance is set to soar several notches higher.”
At this year’s UAE Concours d’Elegance, 30 of the rarest classic cars in the world will sit alongside 30 of the most valuable modern-day supercars, with a combined value of $200 million, as collectors and aficionados mingle to share experiences and celebrate the unrivalled beauty of classic and supercars.
During the three-day show, discerning collectors and owners of these extraordinary creations will celebrate the unique craftsmanship, individuality and passion associated with these remarkable automotive works of art.
The UAE Concours d’Elegance will host a number of related activities and events, including Dinners, breakfast and lunches with selected clients/prospect groups, live music and other entertainment and activation area for partnering brands.
“Our aim is to generate excitement among collectors and those who share passion for rare cars and supercars. We have positioned the UAE Concours d’Elegance as the region’s ultimate destination to experience the passion for rare cars,” said Mana Al Suwaidi.
