Global Village, the world’s leading multicultural Festival Park and the region’s first family destination for culture, shopping, and entertainment, has announced that international R&B recording artist and singer Jay Sean will perform live in concert at its Main Stage on Friday, 8th March 2019.

The superstar is well known for his chart-topping numbers including ‘Down’, ‘2012 (It Ain’t the End)’, ‘Ride It’, ‘Hit the Lights’, ‘War’, ‘I Won’t Tell’, ‘Neon’, ‘Eyes on You’, ‘Worth It All’, ‘I Made It (Cash Money Heroes)’ and ‘Do You Remember?’.

Jay Sean is the second top-rated global artist that Global Village is bringing to its Main Stage this season after the hit concert by Jason Derulo. The prolific artist has released four studio albums, two compilation albums, two extended plays, two mixtapes, twenty-six singles (including nine as a featured artist) and thirty-one music videos over a career spanning 15 years. He is expected to respond to crowd requests, engaging and responding to their requests in real time.

Jay Sean was born in London and displayed musical talent at an early age. At 11, he and his cousin formed a hip hop duo named “Compulsive Disorder”. He was a straight-A student and enrolled in The London School of Medicine and Dentistry at Queen Mary, University of London, to study Medicine before dropping out in 2003 to pursue a singing career. He debuted in the UK’s Asian Underground scene as a member of the Rishi Rich Project with “Dance with You”, which led to him being signed to Virgin Records and having two UK top 10 hits as a solo artist in 2004: “Eyes on You” at #6 and “Stolen” at #4. Sean is a pioneer of Bhangra-R&B fusion, which his debut album helped popularize. He founded his own independent label, Jayded Records in 2006 and is now signed on with Cash Money Records.

Season 23 at Global Village welcomes guests and offers unique shopping experiences, cultural performances, entertainment events and surprises every day until 6th April 2019. Global Village is open from 4 pm to 12 am from Saturday to Wednesday and from 4 pm to 1 pm on Thursdays, Fridays and public holidays. On Mondays, it is dedicated to families and women only.
