Sheraton Dubai, Mall of the Emirates Hotel brings back the renowned Chocoholic Brunch for a second season, with more chocolates from luxury brand Fauchon Paris.  Hosted in Sanabel, located on the fifth floor of the hotel, this a brunch for those with a sweet tooth.

Award winning Chef Waleed Al Sadik will be using the Chocoholic Brunch to launch his range of handmade Arabic chocolates.  Flavoured to perfection with exquisite local notes, guests will be able to sample these bespoke chocolates with tastes such as saffron, cardamom and pistachio at the start of their journey.  From here, chocoholics will have the opportunity to learn about chocolate production, from the bean to the gourmet delights that it creates, before immersing themselves in the chocolate-themed brunch.

Talking about his new creations, Chef Waleed said:  By creating my range of locally-flavoured chocolates, I am able to introduce guests to tastes that they may have never had, by combining it with a passion point for many – rich choocolate.  For example, the strong aroma of cardamom, a spicy and almost citrus character is beautifully complemented by a full-bodied dark chocolate.  The spice cuts through the bitterness of the chocolate and leaves a fresh after taste.

The smell of the dedicated Chocolate Room entices guests of all ages from the adjacent Chocolate Avenue, decorated with chocolate fountains and live crepe stations. Art sculptures decorate the room, all of which take over one month to create, all hand carved to represent mythical creatures or a tower of cakes. Each sculpture is then carefully refurbished every week to wow guests each and every brunch.

I like to expand on the Chocoholic Brunch every week by trying new things and making new flavors. This way our regular guests can enjoy a new experience each time they visit, Chef Waleed added.

An array of savoury delights, with live cooking stations such as the flame grill, interactive sushi rolling and a tandoor oven, provide guests with a counterpart to the sweetness.  For those true chocoholics, delightful parings exist such as banana and chocolate sushi, and a rich chocolate sauce which is unexpectedly ideal as a sauce over roast beef.

Little chocoholics will be in their own heaven in the dedicated children’s area.  Within sights of parents, children can enjoy VIP access to the chocolate room as well as a range of board games, arts and crafts to entertain in the soft floored cosy space.  For the older children, PlayStations and Wii consoles are available to keep all ages busy.

• Complimentary for children of up to six years old, AED 99 for children 7 – 12 years old

For an alternative brunch, Vantage bar and lounge will be hosting a Sports Brunch every Saturday.  Guests can watch live football games and all other live sporting events, as they indulge on a selection of burgers, roast beef and chicken gourmet sandwiches and sharing bites, paired with craft hops.  Starting from AED 179 per person, this Sports Brunch is a brunch for the sophisticated sports fan.
