Bright sunny smiles and magical moments filled with laughter are guaranteed at Modesh World at Dubai World Trade Centre – a one-stop-shop for family fun at this year’s Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS).

Back to the annual summer line-up of family-friendly events, Modesh World is a big draw for youngsters of all ages as well as fans of everyone’s favourite Dubai characters, Modesh and Dana.

The latest Modesh World is held at Dubai World Trade Centre’s Sheikh Saeed Halls 1, 2 &3 and The Arena until 28 August. The immersive, interactive and super exciting indoor theme park promises memorable experiences and games plus a chance to meet Modesh and Dana in person.

Inspired by The Lagoons, where Modesh and Dana live, Modesh World features five unique ‘Villages’, with each offering a variety of activities to keep the little ones entertained and amused all day long.

Residents and visitors looking for thrills and spills will love the Adventure Village that features 64 rides aimed at kids of all ages. Battle Park Zone is great for teenagers while the Neeveplaste Slide will keep children aged three years and older busy. Older kids can go flying through the air on adrenaline pumping Zip Lines and Slides with a Freestyle Trampoline Park perfect for three- to 12-year-olds. The White Jumping Hills attraction will see youngsters bounce among the clouds while the Diggers Lab offers down to earth fun with realistic mini machines.

A vast selection of traditional fairground games, complete with amazing prizes to be won, can be found at the Amusement Village. Lucky visitors can take home huge stuffed cuddly toys or test their computer game skills on a range of vintage arcade machines.

The Discovery Village at Modesh World is home to workshops and games inspired by Modesh’s friend Dana the Inventor and her inquisitive personality. A place for kids of all ages, it features a Cuckoo soft play area, a Splash and Party zone complete with fun workshops plus edutainment activities hosted by entities including Dubai Health Authority, Dubai Police, the Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Customs, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Dubai Culture ad Dubai Statistics Centre.

Modesh and Dana are always in the spotlight at Modesh World. At the Entertainment Village, the characters will join their friends for great live shows featuring singing, dancing and lots of fun. Performances include Peter Pan, which tells the story of the boy who wouldn’t grow up and his adventures in Neverland. The classic fairytale Cinderella will be performed on stage while the Alice Parade will see characters from Alice in Wonderland stroll around the venue. A Harlequins Parade will join colourful characters with Modesh and Dana to meet fans with visitors also entertained by Juggling Acrobats and the Melodia Concerts featuring piano, violin and saxophone players plus many more great musicians. The Water Drumming show will see professional drummers entertain audiences with a combination of water, colour and sound.

A giant bouncy castle is just one of the great attractions at Modesh Village, which offers plenty of fun for the little ones. Made especially for Modesh World, youngsters exploring the huge inflatable structure will have plenty of fun navigating the slides, jumping obstacles and much more. Having a good time can be hungry work, but Modesh World’s Food Village is home to a delicious selection of eateries serving tasty dishes from all over the world that the whole family can enjoy.

In addition to the exciting games, there will be a grand raffle draw whereby those who spend AED 300 or more can enter a draw to win a GAC-GS5 2021 Model family car courtesy of Gargash Group. The lucky winner will be picked at the end of Modesh World on 28 August.

Modesh World is open throughout the week from Sunday to Wednesday 2pm to 10pm and Thursday to Saturday 10am to 12am.

Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), this year’s DSS will be held until 4 September. The festival follows all of the important health and safety rules, including social distancing and the wearing of masks at all times.
