Majid Al Futtaim’s City Centre Mirdif invited people to make a difference by donating to families in need on June 16 and they received a free personalised stuffed teddy bear.

As part of Majid Al Futtaim’s ‘Make a Difference’ Ramadan campaign this year, residents and tourists donated books, toys and clothes for people in need from 2pm until 10pm in return for a token to build a bear of their choice for free. Visitors dropped off donations at the collection stand located in the Central Galleria on the ground floor of the mall and received a token that was valid for the day. They also recorded a message in their own voice to insert into the bear.

Majid Al Futtaim has partnered with Red Crescent for the eleventh year for the ‘Make a Difference’ campaign, which aims to encourage people to donate to charity during Ramadan. The campaign is in line with the ‘Year of Giving’, an initiative by UAE’s President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to develop programmes that celebrate the virtues of giving and create a spirit of philanthropy among residents of the country.
