Marker Unveiled At Colombia Pavilion To Honor The Country’s Unique Status As One Of The World’s Seven Natural Wonders
The Colombia Pavilion and other nations celebrated the Seven Wonders of Nature at Expo 2020 Dubai. A symbolic marker is unveiled to connect and show the distance between Colombia Pavilion and the Amazon, which Colombia shares with its neighbors Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Guiana, Guyana, Perú, Suriname and Venezuela. The Amazon, one of the seven wonders of world is the largest rainforest in the world representing 42% of the total Colombian territory and is also recognized as the lungs of the world.
This marker showcases Colombia as a mega diverse nation with multicultural, high biodiversity regions featuring unique attributes and a natural ecosystem.
