Mashreq Bank – Egypt Launches 2 New Branches Covering East And West Cairo
The launch of the new program comes under the umbrella of the CBE’s program to support the SMEs, where the “Daman” program will provide the necessary credit facilities associated with the expansion of the work volume or the establishment of a new project accompanied by a targeted employment rate. The opening ceremony was celebrated in the presence of senior representatives from the bank’s management, headed by Amr El Bahey, CEO of Mashreq Bank – Egypt, Haitham Hammad, Executive Vice President & Head of Retail Banking and Distribution Channels, Hazem El-Wakeel, Vice President & Head of Distribution – West and Islam El-Kayaty, Vice President & Head of Distribution – East.
The expansion in Mashreq Bank – Egypt’s network of branches comes as a continuation of its strategy aimed at expanding the customer base and attracting new unbanked segments, and in line with the country’s financial inclusion plans. In addition, the move solidifies Mashreq’s efforts to upgrade and integrate digital banking services through establishing a dedicated area, Digital Corner, promoting the use of advanced digital channels.

Additionally,Haitham Hammad, Executive Vice President & Head of Retail Banking and Distribution Channels, explained that the new branches are equipped with exclusive features for a seamless banking experience, including, innovative banking services and contemporary designs that reflect the bank’s advanced digital vision and strategy. In addition, the branches are situated in Cairo’s highly populated areas to facilitate easy access to customers. “By integrating digital services in Mashreq’s branches through Digital Corners, we encourage customers to use digital banking channels and enable a more convenient process of conducting banking services.” added Hammad. The new Beverly Hills branch is equipped with a dedicated hub for SMEs, offering customized services and guidance to customers, in addition to a Mashreq Gold section serving top notch customers. Alternately, the new El-Rehab branch hosts a digital wall showcasing the bank’s various products and innovative digital banking solutions, and also includes a luxurious center designed to address the needs of Mashreq Gold customers. It is worth noting that, as part of Mashreq Bank – Egypt’s efforts to cater to the needs of all customers and drive financial inclusion, and in line with the CBE’s regulations, the new branches have been equipped with the necessary and appropriate features to accommodate and enable people with special needs to conduct banking procedures.
