Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and a special time of the year for millions of Muslims around the world. Suhoors and iftars vary from country to country and the Holy Month is usually a period when people opt to eat traditional and healthy meals.
Ramadan is one of the most vibrant times to live in UAE and its perfect time for you to involve in the local culture, meet new people and simply soak in the special charm of this place during the Holy month. McDonalds has taken a unique approach to celebrate Ramadan.
Aware that their meals are enticing, they’ve found a fresh approach to pay respect towards local culture. To prevent distracting drivers while fasting, they have removed their products from their billboards. The launch of this road safety campaign has caught the imagination of locals and expats alike. The attractive and simple roadside banners in major highways and destinations, as shown in the image below have re-emphasized the importance of ‘safety first’.
