McDonald’s UAE has re-launched its first restaurant in the UAE at Al Ghurair City today, following its serving of the first hamburger in Deira on the 21st December, 1994.

The event welcomed over 100 guests including VIPs, government partners and suppliers, as well as key members of the media who were treated to an exclusive unveiling of the first Digital Menu Board and Dual-Point Ordering System in the UAE. Guests were welcomed with performances by folkloric dancers.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Rafic Fakih, Managing Director and Partner of McDonald’s UAE said: “The opening of Al Ghurair Centre restaurant, 20 years ago, was a historical moment in the McDonald’s UAE story. The restaurant holds a significant place in the McDonald’s family, and we are proud to reinstate it as the starting point for a number of modern changes.”
