Meraas has launched the second edition of Urban Pixels, an annual photo competition created to reflect the vibrancy of everyday urban life in Dubai. The competition, which has already received hundreds of entries, is being held between 22 March and 12 April 2017, and follows a hugely successful competition in 2016 when thousands of entries were received from across the city and an exhibition created for winning entries.

The competition is aligned with Meraas’ commitment to making Dubai and the UAE better for people to live, work, and play. The competition’s three categories include ‘Active’ images of people exercising, enjoying sporting activities, and playing; ‘Urban’ images of places, architecture, structures, shadows and light and dark; or shots that capture ‘Life’ experiences such as a family gathering, celebration, food and drink, and other special occasions.
