As part of its vision to promote the literary and cultural movement, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library will host a special poetry evening entitled “Story and Poem” on Thursday, 11 July, at 7:00 PM, with the participation of content creator and media personality Rawan Nasser and artist Mazen Al-Natour.

The event will feature poetic dialogues and sung poems from the collections of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. This rich artistic experience that combines heritage and modernity will highlight the beauty of literature and poetry in building bridges of communication between different cultures.

Between creativity and contemplation, the evening will present poetry readings accompanied by the tunes of the rababa, while other poems by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid will be sung.

“Story and Poem” aims to nurture literary and artistic culture by providing a platform for poets and writers to express their creativity. It is an opportunity to bring together literature and art lovers and local talents to strengthen community ties and encourage literary innovation, in addition to spreading awareness and stimulating communication and interaction between participants and the public.

This evening comes within the framework of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library’s vision and strategy to preserve and enrich Arabic literature, culture, heritage, and language. It also aims to motivate writers, authors, and creatives to increase their intellectual production in the Arabic language as well as promote translated works in literature, knowledge, and arts.
