Hi, I’m Fatima and I’m moving to Dubai soon with my husband and?  daughters. Which are the nicest, family friendly, and? accessible areas to live? How much do we expect to pay in rent for these areas?Which are good, British curriculum based and? available schools ?(I’ve narrowed it to Sch of Rsch Sc; Royal Dubai; Regents and Safa School). This info would be really helpful.

  1. Hi fatima …
the nicest areas in Dubai would be Jumaira, Umm Suqaim, and Al-Safa, these areas are very close to the beach, entertainment places, and lots of English Carriculum schools. good Schools are Emirates college, Jumaira College, and dubai they are all good schools. to live in these areas you might pay an average of 100,000 AED a year for rent around 27,247 USD. people are from different nationality here, Europeans and British mostly arabs and locals.

  2. Thankyou for the info…We came out to Dubai last week to book in to schools (V. Hot!) and found a place in Regent’s in Greens, so we will look for a place to live there…Jalal, yoiu underestimated the rents enormously…it is very expensive to live in those areas…well over 140000 dirhams for just a 2 bed place. We move next month IA, so we will start looking in the Gulf classifieds (Thanks Adeel).

  3. Thanks Jaz,

How easy is it to change schools in Dubai? we found it v. difficult to get any school place anywhere as it was…surely it will be more difficult (and expensive) to change mid term??

  4. I have kids and was looking for a good school in Barsha, Please let me know if Regent International school is good enough, I have heard a lot about this school. Children studying in this school seem to be smarter and they dont do the monotonous work, they have lot of activities. I know because one of my friends kids are going there.
