Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, is once again delighting customers by bringing regional festive culinary traditions onboard its flights. This time, Emirates customers flying to Germany from Dubai can enjoy traditional sweet and savory Oktoberfest treats on their flights.

Customers flying from Emirates’ hub in Dubai to its four German gateways of Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich, in all classes of travel will be able to enjoy a Bavarian main course and dessert until October 3rd.

Travellers in First Class and Business Class can treat themselves to leberkäs as a main course, a typical German-style beef and chicken meatloaf served with sauerkraut, potato and red radish salad, and sweet mustard. They can round off their main course with a sweet and hot apfelstrudel with vanilla sauce in First Class and bienenstich, a traditional German cake with almonds and honey, in Business Class.

Emirates customers flying from Dubai to Germany in Economy Class, can also choose leberkäs as a main course, served with mashed potatoes as well as sauerkraut with fried onions. They can then also finish off their German meal with a piece of bienenstich cake.

Emirates’ iconic A380 Onboard Lounge, available to customers travelling in First Class and Business Class, will feature a whole range of Bavarian-inspired bar snacks and appetisers, such as sandwiches with emmental cheese with gherkins, mini bretzels with traditional dips like obatzda, Bavarian pastries as well as small gingerbread hearts to enjoy or share with a loved one back home.

Emirates currently offers two daily flights from Dubai to Frankfurt, daily connections to Munich as well as six weekly flights to Dusseldorf and five flights a week to Hamburg from its Dubai hub. The airline recently announced that it will ramp up its services to Germany with the beginning of the winter flight schedule at the end of October, with daily connections to Dusseldorf and Hamburg. The popular A380 flagship will then also make its return to these two cities. Emirates is scaling up services with additional route resumptions and more flights across its European network, responding to the easing of international entry protocols and an upsurge in passenger demand.

Emirates serves multi-course gourmet menus in all classes. As well as regionally inspired cuisine on their monthly menus, Emirates often brings on board festive meals, sweets, drinks and desserts to celebrate special occasions, from world events and international sports to festivals such as Christmas, Lunar New Year and Diwali.
